Privacy Policy
Last updated: February 18, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how TabLinker ("we", "our", "us", or the "App") handles information when you use the app, Share Extension, Widget, and Safari Extension.
1. Information We Process
We do not require account registration and we do not collect your name, email address, phone number, advertising ID, or location for our own analytics or advertising purposes.
Depending on how you use the App, the following information may be processed:
- Bookmark data you create or import, such as URL, title, notes, tags, folder assignment, and optional import/session metadata.
- Folder data, including folder names, icon choices, color choices, and sort/order state.
- App settings and preferences stored on-device, such as appearance, onboarding state, quick actions, and export template settings.
- Recently deleted data (temporarily retained in-app before permanent deletion).
- Optional clipboard URL suggestions (processed on-device).
- Optional browser tab import data when you use browser import features.
- Optional in-app purchase entitlement data required to unlock and restore Pro access.
2. How Data Is Used
We process data only to provide app functionality, including:
- Saving and organizing bookmarks and folders.
- Syncing your data across your devices via iCloud/CloudKit.
- Restoring purchases and enforcing free/pro feature limits.
- Import/export features.
- Spotlight indexing on your device.
- Widget and extension functionality.
3. Storage and Sync
- Primary app data is stored locally using Apple frameworks.
- If iCloud sync is enabled, app data syncs through your private CloudKit database.
- We do not operate our own backend server to store your bookmark database.
4. Network Requests and Third Parties
The App can make network requests in the following cases:
- CloudKit sync and related remote notifications (Apple).
- In-app purchase product/entitlement operations (Apple App Store + RevenueCat).
- Metadata fetch when you add/edit/share a URL (request to the URL you entered/shared).
- Favicon loading via Google's favicon endpoint (
https://www.google.com/s2/favicons), using the domain of saved links.
Third-party services:
- Apple: CloudKit, App Store, iCloud Key-Value Store, and related platform services.
- RevenueCat: purchase and entitlement verification.
- Google favicon service: domain-to-favicon image lookup.
Third-party privacy policies:
- Apple: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/
- RevenueCat: https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy
- Google: https://policies.google.com/privacy
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell personal information and we do not share your data with data brokers or advertising networks.
Information may be processed by third parties only as needed for the features listed above (for example, Apple for iCloud sync or RevenueCat for purchase verification).
6. Extensions and System Integrations
- Share Extension: saves links you explicitly share into the App's data store.
- Widget: reads recent bookmarks to display them on your Home Screen.
- Safari Extension: accesses browser tabs when you use the extension's import flow.
- Browser import on macOS: uses Apple Events/automation permissions to read open tabs from supported browsers when you trigger import.
- Spotlight integration: selected bookmark fields may be indexed on-device for system search.
7. Data Retention and Deletion
- Active bookmark/folder data is retained until you delete it.
- Deleted items may remain in "Recently Deleted" for up to 30 days before permanent purge.
- You can permanently remove data using in-app reset/delete controls.
- You can export your data from the app before deletion.
- If you use iCloud sync, deleting iCloud-backed app data may also require Apple iCloud storage management actions.
8. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. International Processing
Because Apple, RevenueCat, and Google may operate globally, data processed through those services may be handled in countries outside your own.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will include a revised "Last updated" date.
